1. Shake the bottle well before using the medicine.

3. Insert the bottle tip into one nostril and close the other nostril.

5. Breathe out gently through your mouth while spraying.
6. Repeat the same process for the other nostril.
7. Avoid deep breathing to prevent the medication from going back to the throat, which can make it less effective.

Indications of Rhinomist Nasal Spray

Rhinomist Nasal Spray is a corticosteroid medicine used to relieve symptoms associated with asthma and allergic rhinitis. It helps in alleviating symptoms such as difficulty breathing, sneezing, runny nose, and itchy or watery eyes by blocking the release of histamine, a chemical causing allergic reactions.

Pharmacology

Fluticasone furoate, a synthetic trifluorinated corticosteroid, exhibits potent anti-inflammatory activity. Similar to other corticosteroids, it exerts a broad spectrum of effects on various cell types such as mast cells, eosinophils, neutrophils, macrophages, and lymphocytes. Additionally, it modulates the activity of several inflammatory mediators including histamine, eicosanoids, leukotrienes, and cytokines that play crucial roles in the inflammatory response.

Dosage & Administration of Rhinomist Nasal Spray

For adults with nasal allergic rhinitis, the recommended dose of fluticasone furoate spray is 2 sprays (55 mcg) into each nostril once daily. If symptoms are adequately controlled, the dosage may be reduced to 1 spray (27.5 mcg) into each nostril once daily.

For children aged 2 to 11 years with nasal allergic rhinitis (seasonal or perennial), the recommended dose is 1 spray in each nostril once a day. If necessary, the dosage may be increased to 2 sprays (55 mcg) into each nostril once daily.

Interaction
